Philly homes

What cleaning
a Philly home
involves.

Most Philly homes are rowhomes.
Most were built before 1960, and nearly half are rented.

01
Rowhomes

Narrow rooms, stairs on every floor, radiators and old hardwood.
Tell us how many floors.

02
Trinities

One room on each floor, joined by a steep, narrow winding stair.
Mention it so the team knows the layout.

03
High-rises

Large apartment and condo buildings hold most of Center City’s homes, and some have a doorman at the door. Add the building rules to your booking notes.

04
Walk-ups + condos

No elevator, a front desk, or building rules?
Add them to your booking notes.

05
Twins + stone singles

The Far Northeast has twins with yards and driveways, and Chestnut Hill has stone houses of local Wissahickon schist. Bigger houses take longer.

06
Parking + access

Street parking, permits and keys.
Tell us where to park and how to get in.

Parking + access

Where to park,
how to get in.

Tell us where to park and how to get in.
Here is what helps on a city block.

Permit blocks

On a residential permit block, a visitor’s car can stay only for the posted time limit. For longer stays the household can get a temporary permit, and all-day passes go through the PPA’s online portal.

Snow emergencies

When the city declares a snow emergency, cars parked on a snow emergency route must move or can be ticketed and towed. Bustleton, Cottman and Girard avenues are all on the list.

Keys + front desks

Front door, back alley or a building with a front desk? Tell us how the cleaners get in when you book, and add any building rules.

Put this in your booking notes

  • Where to park: driveway, street or permit block
  • How to get in: key, code or front desk
  • How many floors, and any winding stairs
  • Building rules: elevator, hours, sign-in
  • Pets, and where they’ll be

Do you clean every Philadelphia neighborhood?

Yes. We clean every Philadelphia neighborhood, from Somerton and Bustleton in the Far Northeast to South Philly, West Philly and Chestnut Hill. Small pockets are covered on the page of the neighborhood next door, and every name is listed by area above. Our home base is Northeast Philadelphia.

What should I tell you about my rowhome?

How many floors it has, whether there’s a basement, where we can park and how to get in. Philadelphia is a rowhome city: narrow rooms, stairs on every floor, radiators and old hardwood are normal here. If it’s a trinity with a winding stair, mention it so the team knows the layout.

Do you clean apartments and condos in big buildings?

Yes. Large apartment and condo buildings hold most of Center City’s homes, and some control who comes in with a doorman. Tell us where to check in, which elevator to use and any hours the building sets for work. Move-in and move-out cleaning is built for empty units.

Where will the cleaners park?

Tell us when you book. On a residential permit block, a visitor’s car can stay only for the posted time limit, so a longer cleaning may need a temporary permit or a nearby garage or lot. If you have a driveway or a spot we can use, say so in your booking notes.

How much does house cleaning cost in Philadelphia?

Every cleaning is custom quoted to fit your home. Your price is based on home size, cleaning type, current condition, frequency and the add-ons you choose, and the booking form shows it before you submit. Prefer a set price? The x98 Specials are two cleaning professionals for 2 hours at $198, 3 hours at $298 or 4 hours at $398.
