Rowhouses and small workers’ houses went up fast around Holmesburg in the teens and 1920s. Older house? Ask for a deep clean on the first visit.

Is my address in Holmesburg, Mayfair or Tacony?

Probably Holmesburg if you’re north of Cottman Avenue, on either side of Frankford, between the river and Pennypack Creek; that’s how the civic groups split it in 2011. Mayfair’s civic area is west of Frankford below Sheffield, and Tacony’s is east of Frankford below Cottman. We clean all three, so just book with your street address.

Is Upper Holmesburg the same place?

No. Upper Holmesburg is its own neighborhood on the far side of Pennypack Creek, and the Frankford Avenue bridge connects the two. Planners list them separately in the North Delaware district. We clean on both sides of the creek. Book online with your street address, or call or text 215.798.7576 if you’d rather talk it through first.

Do you clean the older rowhouses near Frankford Avenue?

Yes. Rowhouses and small workers’ houses went up around Holmesburg in the 1910s and 1920s, and blocks along Frankford Avenue are mostly rows and twins. For a house that hasn’t had a professional clean in a while, start with a deep clean, then switch to a regular schedule. Tell us about the basement and stairs when you book.

Where should the cleaners park?

It depends on your block. Older parts of Holmesburg may not have off-street parking, while many blocks have an interior alley out to private garages. Put the best spot in your booking notes. In a declared snow emergency, cars on Cottman Avenue must be moved or can be ticketed and towed.
