In short

Two stages,
one call.

Heavy-Duty Cleanup is a two-stage service for homes where junk and garbage have piled up. Stage one clears the junk and trash out. Stage two is a full deep clean of the home underneath. It isn’t organizing or decluttering, and it starts with an assessment instead of online booking.

We work in every Philadelphia neighborhood and the Pennsylvania suburbs. Sometimes it’s your own home. Often it’s for someone you love.

Who books it

  • Families helping a parentAn older parent’s home has become hard to live in safely, and the family wants it cleared and cleaned.
  • Hoarding situationsYears of things and trash in the way. We clear what you decide goes, then deep clean the home.
  • Getting a home readyAn estate, a sale or a rental that needs emptying and cleaning before the next step.
  • After a hard stretchIllness, loss or a tough year, and the house slipped.
    No explanation needed.
How it works

Clear it out.
Then clean it
properly.

Most heavy-duty jobs need two different kinds of work, in the right order. Heavy-Duty Cleanup puts both under one plan.

1Stage one

Junk and garbage removal

The junk, trash and items you don’t want come out of the home first, so every room, floor and surface can be reached. Our team coordinates removal.

  • Junk, trash and unwanted items cleared out
  • You tell us what stays
  • Rooms opened up for the deep clean
2Stage two

The deep clean

Once the rooms are clear, the cleaning professionals deep clean the home using our deep cleaning checklist, every item, every time.

  • Baseboards, door frames, switches and handles
  • Kitchen and bathrooms top to bottom
  • Grout treated, fixtures descaled, floors cleaned
See the deep cleaning checklist →

What Heavy-Duty Cleanup doesn’t cover

We clear junk and garbage and deep clean the home. Some situations need a specialized company instead, and it’s better you know that before the assessment.

  • Organizing or sorting belongings
  • Biohazards
  • Bodily fluids
  • Pest activity
  • Mold beyond surface cleaning
  • Moving heavy furniture or appliances
  • Carpet shampooing
  • Exterior windows

It isn’t organizing

Heavy-Duty Cleanup isn’t organizing or decluttering. We don’t sort or organize belongings. Decide together what stays and what goes before removal day, and tell us anything that must not leave the home.

A hauler can empty a room, and a cleaner can’t clean what’s buried. Heavy-Duty Cleanup does both, in order, so you’re not coordinating two companies on the same house.

What it
costs.

Heavy-Duty Cleanup is priced from the assessment, because no two homes need the same work. The price depends on how much has to be removed, the size of the home and its condition once it’s cleared.

Lead with what you’re worried about, like falls, blocked exits or missed medication, rather than the stuff itself.

Pull out papers, photos, medication and valuables before removal day, and tell us anything that has to stay.

  3. 03Agree on what goes

We don’t sort or organize belongings. Decide together what leaves the home, so removal day has no surprises.

  4. 04Name one contact

Pick one person for us to talk to. We stay your central contact for booking, communication and payment.

On the day: walk through before the team leaves and tell us if anything was missed.

What is heavy-duty cleanup?

Heavy-Duty Cleanup is a two-stage service: junk and garbage removal first, then a deep clean of the home, sometimes in one day. It’s for homes where clutter and trash have built up past what a regular cleaning can reach. It starts with an assessment rather than online booking.

Do you do hoarding cleanups?

Yes, Heavy-Duty Cleanup is built for hoarding situations as well as homes that simply got away from someone. We remove the junk and garbage you decide goes, then deep clean the home. Biohazards, bodily fluids, pest activity and mold beyond surface cleaning need a specialized remediation company.

Do you organize or sort belongings?

No. Heavy-Duty Cleanup clears junk and garbage and deep cleans the home. It isn’t organizing or decluttering, so decide what stays and what goes before removal day, and tell us anything that must not leave the home. Papers, photos, medication and valuables are best set aside before removal day.

Who removes the junk?

Our team coordinates removal. You have one company to talk to for the whole job, so you’re not coordinating two companies on the same house. Philly’s Clean Team stays your central contact for booking, communication and payment, from the assessment to the last room.

Can it all be done in one day?

Sometimes. Removal and the deep clean can happen on the same day depending on the size of the home and how much has to come out. Your assessment will tell you what to expect, and nothing is added without your approval.

How much does heavy-duty cleanup cost?

Heavy-Duty Cleanup is priced from the assessment. The price depends on how much has to be removed, the size of the home and its condition once it’s cleared. If the home needs more time than expected, you get options before extra work is added.

What’s the difference between Heavy-Duty Cleanup and the Heavy Duty add-on?

The Heavy Duty add-on is extra scrubbing for built-up grime and neglected areas, added to a cleaning you book online. Heavy-Duty Cleanup is a separate service for homes where junk and trash have to be removed before anyone can clean. It starts with an assessment.

I’m arranging this for a parent. Where do I start?

Talk with them about safety first, set aside papers, photos, medication and valuables, and agree together on what leaves the home. Then request an assessment and name one person as our contact. If you’d rather talk it through first, call or text 215.798.7576, 9 AM to 9 PM, every day.
