Who comes to
your door in
Philadelphia.

Every cleaning professional is background checked and insured before being matched to your home. Here is what we check, who carries the insurance and what happens when something is wrong.

Provider vetting

From application
to your door.

We vet, check, verify and match.
Here is what each of those words means.

  1. 01A registered business

Cleaning providers apply to work with us. Each one needs a registered LLC and business insurance.

  2. 02Background check

Every cleaning professional is background checked before being matched to a home.

  3. 03Insurance verified

Cleaning professionals carry their own coverage, and Philly’s Clean Team verifies it at intake.

  4. 04Matched to your job

We match an available cleaning professional to your date, your area and the service you booked.

In your home

What happens while
we’re there.

Entry, pets, rooms you want left alone, and what the cleaning professionals bring with them.

Entry on your terms

Entry, alarm, parking, pet and lock-up instructions can be provided in advance, so you do not need to be home.

Rooms left alone

Tell us about restricted rooms, an office, a nursery or anything that should not be touched, before the visit rather than on the day.

Supplies and equipment

Standard supplies and equipment are provided for the service you selected.

Pets

Keep pets in a safe spot on cleaning day, and include them in your entry instructions. The Pets add-on accounts for the extra time and pet hair. It does not include pet waste cleanup.

Building rules

A front desk, a doorman or rules for service visits? Add them to your booking notes so the cleaning professional knows before they arrive.

Nothing added without approval

If the home needs more time than booked, you get options first. Nothing is added without your approval.

Coverage and accountability

Who’s covered.
Who to call.

Who carries the insurance, and who you call when something is wrong.

The cleaning professional’s coverage

Cleaning professionals carry their own insurance, verified by Philly’s Clean Team at intake.

You deal with Philly’s

We remain your central contact for booking, communication, payment and customer support. If something is wrong, you come back to us rather than chasing the person who cleaned.

A return visit comes first

If something in your booked scope was missed, a return visit to correct the work comes first, before any other resolution.

If something is damaged

Call or text us at (215) 798-7576 and tell us what happened. Damage caused during a cleaning is the responsibility of the cleaning professional who did the work, and every cleaning professional carries their own insurance, which Philly’s Clean Team verifies at intake.

Said plainly

What we do
not promise.

A standard is only worth something if the limits come with it.
These are three things we do not promise.

  • Limit 01

The same cleaner is not promised for every visit

We try to keep continuity when schedules allow, but the same cleaner is not promised for every visit. Philly’s Clean Team stays your central contact either way, so you are not starting over with a new company each time.

  • Limit 02

We do not confirm an appointment the moment you submit

Submitting the booking form sends a request. The appointment is confirmed after the details are reviewed and an available cleaning professional is matched. Confirmation and schedule updates are sent by email and text.

  • Limit 03

We do not add work, or time, without asking you

If the home turns out to need more than it was booked for, you get the options before anything changes: add time, focus on your priorities, or schedule another visit.

Standards FAQ

Questions
about who’s
in your home.

Want to ask something before you book?

Call or text 215.798.7576
Are the cleaning professionals background checked?

Yes. Every cleaning professional is background checked before being matched to a home. Philly’s Clean Team coordinates cleanings with background-checked, insured cleaning professionals.

Is the cleaning insured?

Cleaning professionals carry their own coverage, which Philly’s Clean Team verifies at intake.

Does Philly’s Clean Team employ the cleaners?

No. The cleaning is done by independent cleaning providers who run their own businesses. Each one is background checked and insured before being matched to a home, and your booking, your payment and your support run through Philly’s Clean Team.

Will the same cleaner come every time?

We try to keep continuity when schedules allow, but the same cleaner is not promised for every visit.

Do I have to be home to let someone in?

No. Entry, alarm, parking, pet and lock-up instructions can be provided in advance. Tell us about restricted rooms or anything else the cleaning professional should know before the visit.

What if I want certain rooms left alone?

Tell us before your appointment so it can be arranged ahead of the visit, rather than raised on the day.

Can you clean a home with pets?

Yes. Keep pets in a safe spot on cleaning day, and include them in your entry instructions. The Pets add-on accounts for the extra time and pet hair. It does not include pet waste cleanup.

My building has a doorman or front desk. What should I do?

Add it to your booking notes: the front desk or doorman, any building rules for service visits, and which entrance and elevator to use. That way the cleaning professional knows before they arrive.

What happens if something in my booked scope was missed?

Contact us rather than the cleaning professional, so the job is closed out correctly. A return visit to correct the work comes first. Walk through before the cleaning professional leaves so it can be fixed on the spot, or contact us within 24 hours and we will send a cleaner back to re-clean it at no charge, or take care of it at your next scheduled cleaning.

What if something is damaged?

Call or text us at (215) 798-7576 and tell us what happened. Damage caused during a cleaning is the responsibility of the cleaning professional who did the work, and every cleaning professional carries their own insurance, which Philly’s Clean Team verifies at intake.

Who do I contact if I have a problem?

Us. Philly’s Clean Team remains your central contact for booking, communication, payment and customer support. Call or text (215) 798-7576, 9 AM to 9 PM, every day.
