Homes in Conshohocken

Rowhomes, twins
and river towers.

Almost half the borough’s homes went up before World War II, and attached homes lead the mix. About half the households rent.

01
Attached homes

Single-family attached homes are the biggest group, with twins and duplexes in the same neighborhoods. Tell us how many floors you want done.

02
Riverfront apartments

Big apartment buildings came with the riverfront development. Add the building’s move-in rules, freight elevator and loading area to your notes.

03
Above the shops

In the commercial district, homes sit upstairs over businesses. Tell us which door is yours and how to reach the stairs.

04
Older singles

Detached houses built before 1967 are protected by a historic overlay. Old floors and trim need a gentle hand, so mention them.

Parking + access

Permits, meters
and Fayette Street.

Some blocks are permit-only and downtown is metered.
Tell us where we can stop.

Permit blocks

Parts of W 1st and W 2nd Avenues, Forrest Street, Spring Mill Avenue, Harry Street, E 3rd and E 8th Avenues and the 100 block of Fayette are permit areas. On those, we need a visitor spot or your driveway.

Downtown meters

A resident permit doesn’t cover the downtown meters. Near Fayette Street, we’ll feed the meter, so allow for it.

Snow emergencies

When one is declared, no car may stay on a snow route, including both sides of Fayette Street to the Matsonford Bridge. Live on a route? Tell us an off-route spot.

Local facts on this page: U.S. Census Bureau, ACS 2020-2024, Borough of Conshohocken, Wikipedia.

Is Conshohocken the same place as West Conshohocken?

No. Conshohocken is the borough of about one square mile on the east bank of the Schuylkill, and West Conshohocken is a separate borough across the river. They share the 19428 ZIP, which confuses plenty of forms. We clean in both, so just enter your street address when you book.

My block is permit parking. Where will the cleaners park?

The borough runs residential permits on set blocks, such as parts of W 1st Avenue, Forrest Street, Harry Street and Spring Mill Avenue. If you’re on one, tell us about a driveway, a rear pad or a visitor spot. Otherwise we use a meter, and a resident permit doesn’t count at meters.

Do you clean the riverfront apartment buildings?

Yes. Most of the borough’s large apartment buildings came with development along the riverfront. Add the building name, unit, parking garage or loading area and any elevator booking to your notes. For a lease ending, book move-out cleaning, and for a unit you live in, a recurring visit keeps it ready.

What happens on Fayette Street during a snow emergency?

Both sides of Fayette Street, from the borough line to the Matsonford Bridge, are a snow emergency route, along with parts of 1st Avenue, Freedly Street and Poplar Street. Once an emergency is declared, no car can stay parked on them. If that’s your street, we’ll plan around it or move the date.
